ROADLOK holds Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond. The rating was awarded on 30 July 2026 as a series approval, covering all three lock sizes rather than one tested sample.
Sold Secure grades security products Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. Bronze covers the opportunist thief in a normal risk environment. Diamond is the top grade, tested against what Sold Secure calls a “specialist dedicated tool list” and rated for “the highest threat level environments” against “the most determined thief”.
Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association, a not-for-profit trade association, and circulates its approved product list to insurance companies, police crime prevention officers and the Home Office. Powered Cycle is the category covering motorcycles and scooters, renamed from Motorcycle.
ROADLOK’s approval is a series approval across the XRA range, so the rating applies to all three lock sizes: 80mm, 100mm and 108mm caliper bolt spacing, left and right side. A rider on a Bybre radial caliper and a rider on a Nissin caliper are buying the same rated product in a different size. The record is published on the Sold Secure approved products list.
The XRA range also holds ART 4-star approval in the Netherlands, approval number MBT-4246, held to February 2029. Dutch insurers use ART much the way UK insurers use Sold Secure. The range was retested in March 2026 under the ART production conformity and validity programme and the approval was extended.
ROADLOK is an integrated disc lock for motorcycles. The lock body bolts to the front brake caliper and stays on the bike. When you park, you insert the removable locking pin through the brake disc and turn the key. When you ride, the pin is in your pocket, not in the lock.
