Every ROADLOK XRA mounts on the two bolts that hold the front brake caliper to the fork leg. Whether one fits your bike comes down to two things about those bolts: which way they point, and how far apart they are.
Radial or axial
Find the two bolts that hold the caliper to the fork leg. Not the axle nut, not the disc bolts. Their direction relative to the brake disc gives the caliper type.
Radial. Bolts run parallel to the brake disc, pointing at the wheel center. One bolt at each end of the caliper body, entering from the end. From beside the bike you see both bolt heads side-on. An XRA fits, at 80, 100 or 108mm bolt spacing.
Axial. Bolts run at 90 degrees to the disc, parallel to the axle. Both bolts sit on the fork side of the caliper, entering from the side. From beside the bike you see both bolt heads face-on, socket or hex showing. No XRA fits.
Caliper type varies between versions of the same model and between model years, so check the caliper on the bike in front of you rather than the spec sheet for the model. A caliper that matches neither description: email a photo taken from beside the bike, both bolts in frame, to support@roadlok.com before ordering.
Radial: measure the bolt spacing
Measure the distance between the two mounting bolts, center to center, in millimeters. That number is your lock. Not the caliper brand, not the make of the bike.
- 100mm. XRA-100R or XRA-100L. Most Brembo and BMW-branded radial calipers.
- 108mm. XRA-108R. Most Nissin and Tokico radial calipers.
- 80mm. XRA-80L or XRA-80R. Most Bybre radial calipers.
- 100mm with a tall bleed valve in the center of the caliper body. XRA-C100R. Select Honda Nissin calipers.
R and L indicate the side of the bike the lock mounts on. Bolt spacing varies within a make and within a caliper brand, so the measurement decides, not the badge on the caliper. No lock is made for other spacings.
Two things at the correct spacing still change what you order. BMW and Harley-Davidson forks take a different bolt thread from every other make, so those bikes take the BMW / Harley-Davidson version of the lock. Some Honda Nissin calipers carry a tall bleed valve in the middle of the caliper body that stops the standard XRA-100R from seating, and those take the XRA-C100R.
Axial
No XRA fits an axial caliper, and no spacer or adapter changes that. To ask about an axial caliper, send a photo from beside the bike with both bolts in frame to support@roadlok.com. Requests are recorded for future fitments.
