XRA Help

Radial Calipers: The XRA Fits

Radial Calipers: The XRA Fits

Radial caliper: the two mounting bolts run parallel to the brake disc, one at each end of the caliper body.

Measure between those two bolt centers in millimeters. That number is your lock: 80, 100 or 108. Not the caliper brand, not the make of the bike.

Spacing varies between model years, so measure the bike in front of you. The photos here are examples. We fit many caliper types beyond the ones shown.

100mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-100R and XRA-100L

100mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-100R and XRA-100L

100mm between the mounting bolt centers takes the XRA-100R or the XRA-100L. R and L indicate the side the caliper is on, and the fitment list on each product page gives the side by model.

108mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-108R

108mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-108R

108mm between the mounting bolt centers takes the XRA-108R. Bolt spacing varies within a caliper brand and within a motorcycle make, so measure rather than going by the caliper you think you have.

80mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-80L and XRA-80R

80mm Bolt Spacing: XRA-80L and XRA-80R

80mm between the mounting bolt centers takes the XRA-80L or the XRA-80R. No lock is available for bolt spacings other than 80, 100 and 108mm. If your measurement falls outside those, email support@roadlok.com.

How an XRA is Installed

How an XRA is Installed

The lock body mounts to the two radial mounting points on the front brake caliper, using the longer bolts supplied with the lock. Spacers fit between the lock body and the caliper to line the BrakeBolt pin up with a hole in the brake disc. BMW and Harley-Davidson forks take a different bolt thread from all other makes, so specify BMW or Harley-Davidson when ordering. Every new lock ships with the mounting hardware it needs.

Axial Calipers: The XRA Does Not Fit

Axial Calipers: The XRA Does Not Fit

On an axial caliper the two mounting bolts run parallel to the axle, at 90 degrees to the disc, both on the fork side of the caliper and one above the other. From beside the bike both bolt heads are visible face-on. No XRA fits an axial caliper, and no spacer or adapter changes that. For Harley-Davidson axial calipers, contact support@roadlok.com about the XDA-302.
